The Office of Regulation policy Coordination is responsible for managing the Department's:
- Regulatory Process;
- Policy Process; and
- Board of Review
What We Do:
Regulations:
This office manages and coordinates all aspects of the process of adopting new, amending, or repealing regulations for the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH).
The Department's regulatory process is governed by the :
- Administrative procedures Act under State Government Article,
- State Documents Law under State-Government Article
- COMAR 10.01.07 Petitions for Adoption, Amendment or Repeal of Regulations
- DHMH Policy 02.10.01 Policy For Regulations
- DHMH Procedures 02.10.01.P1 - Procedures For Regulations
Policies
Board of Review
This office provides staff support for the Board of Review, which is a 7 member, Governo - appointed Board, which hears appeals from decisions of the Secretary in contested cases or in cases that are subject to judicial review under certain provisions of the law.
The Board of Review is governed by
Health-General Article, 2-201--2-207, Annotated Code of Maryland and
