The Maryland Office of Health Care Quality Workshop on
Plans of Correction for Assisted Living Providers
The Maryland Office of Health Care Quality in partnership with LeadingAge Maryland will be presenting workshops on Plans of Correction for Assisted Living providers.  The workshops will include review of the survey process and how plans of correction fit in to the larger process, what happens when plans are - or are not - accepted, and how our State surveyors evaluate the acceptability of Plans of Correction.  

The workshops will provide a comprehensive overview of how to structure and develop effective plans that meet the minimum standards and will also include hands on exercises evaluating examples of plans that would be considered acceptable and plans that would not.

The Assisted Living Unit is the lead unit for overseeing and enhancing regulatory compliance for assisted living programs in the State by ensuring compliance to standards to assure the safety and well-being of the individuals residing in the programs. Assisted living programs are residential or facility-based programs that provide housing and supportive services, supervision, personalized assistance, and/or health-related services to meet the needs of residents who are unable to perform or need assistance in performing activities of daily living.
