Reimbursement of License Fees - Senate Bill 600


 

SENATE BILL 600 (2006 Legislative Session)

Education Article - License Fee Reimbursement for 

Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists Employed

in the Public School System


Effective July 1, 2006 audiologists and speech-language pathologists who provide services on a third-party billing basis in the county public schools and are licensed by the Maryland  Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech-Language Pathologists (the Board) shall receive reimbursement from the county school board for the initial licensing fee or renewal of license fee charged by the Board of Examiners.  Please see Education Article § 6-112.1 as amended by SB 600 of the 2006 General Assembly.

Audiologists and speech-language pathologists who meet the requirement should contact their respective County Board of Education for more details.  The Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech-Language Pathologists is not responsible for reimbursement of the license fee.
